I recently finished F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Beautiful and Damned. It was only his second novel written when he was 25 years of age. The plot practically predicts his own demise which is peculiar as well as fascinating.
Was it that he wrote the novel and became intertwined with the story that his life ended up that way?
or
Did he write from his personal experiences at the time, not seeing his own warning message?
Photographs of Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda.
