Abelardo Morell is one of my favorite photographers. He is one of the most versatile photographers I have ever seen: working with books, light, money, people, art, buildings, rooms, and more. He photographs the process of camera obscura by creating a pinhole camera out of an entire room and capturing the effect on a large format film camera. It produces an eerie dream-like effect of buildings spread across bedsheets and cars racing down walls.
Beyond simply capturing his images with the click of a button, Morell creates, combines, and uses perspective to design his images. He is not simply a photographer, but an artist.
